Namitha Biography
Namitha Kapoor is a popular South Indian actress. She was born on May 10, 1984 in Surat, India. Her father is a textile businessman and her mother is a housewife. Her dad ran a Raymonds Showroom. She did her B.A. in MTB Arts College. Namita lives in Chennai now, with 30 over films in her credit, she has over 2500 fan clubs and is doing lots of charity work and has a soft corner for HIV effected kids and often Aids them in Pondecherry Communicable Disease center. Namita also sponsored public toilet projects in commercial areas of several states, mainly for ladies. Namita besides her films has also gained fame in small screen programme Manada Mailada in Kalignar TV.

She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest. She was crowned Miss Surat in 2000 and came fourth in the Miss India contest during the year 2001 along with Trisha Krishnan and Celina Jaitley, who was crowned Miss India Universe.

She has acted in Telugu,Tamil, Kannada, Hindi & Malayalam films. She made her debut in the Telugu film Sontham. Subsequent to that, she became famous after the Tamil film Engal Anna opposite Vijayakanth. She starred in Tamil Film "Aai" the song "Arjuna Arjuna" along with Sarath Kumar, which ended up as a big hit. This movie dubbed in Hindi as Nayi Baazi (going to release very soon). Her screen name for the first two Telugu movies was Bhairavi.She has also appeared in an English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning.

1. Namitha, the buxom beauty of Tamil film industry recently evaded the question of marriage in a press conference.When question regarding her marriage was raised she politely said no comments on it. Few years ago during her initial days in the tinsel world, Namitha had a close relationship with a photographer. But after a few months she discontinued the relationship and started concentrating on her career.When the question of her marriage was asked Namitha said that she is not interested in answering these kind of questions and her whole mood was changed after that.She told that the media wrote against her that she had got married to somebody. “It hurts me a lot. But I don’t have any wrath against the media. They are my good friends… I’m taking this sportively” said Namitha.Namitha is presently shooting for her Jaganmohini and is said to be pining a lot of hopes in the remake film. The original version of the same had created history in the box office.According to film pundits, this is the first film in Tamil film industry which will have a lot of investments poured in on a heroine oriented subject. Since, the film is full of masala elements the producer is liberal in investing.

2. Sex bomb Namitha has emerged the most searched South Indian actress in Google's list of India's Top searches on Mobile for 2008.The buxom beauty has beaten strong competition from the likes of Nayantara , Shriya Saran and Trisha to make it to the top ten list. The only other Indian who has made it to the list is Katrina Kaif .Katrina is on sixth spot while Namitha is on ninth.The survey also reveals that Namitha's photos have been downloaded by more than 3.2 crore internet users.Namitha says when she first heard the news she did not believe it. But later when she saw the list herself, she was thrilled to see her name on it.The busty belle presently has a lot of projects in her kitty –including four Tamil films and a Telugu flick.
